UB Greensfelder Makes Key Additions to Leadership Team, Marking Significant Milestone One-Year Post-Merger
April 16, 2025
UB Greensfelder LLP is pleased to announce key additions to its C-suite with the appointment of Jacob Morvay as Chief Financial Officer and Kelley L. Putnam as Chief Human Resources Officer. These leadership appointments mark a significant milestone in the firm’s post-merger strategy as it continues scaling its platform to better anticipate and meet client needs. Morvay will be based in the firm’s Cincinnati office, while Putnam will be based in St. Louis.
“I am excited to have Jacob and Kelley join the firm’s leadership team. These are strategic hires that strengthen our ability to meet the evolving needs of both our clients and our firm,” said Heather L. Henry, UB Greensfelder’s Chief Operating Officer. “Their expertise will allow us to enhance our operational excellence, elevate our client service, and support our unique culture as we continue to grow.”
Morvay arrives at UB Greensfelder with 20 years of experience in accounting and finance in the professional services industry. His background encompasses all aspects of law firm business planning and operations, including C-level leadership roles with Frost Brown Todd LLP and Steptoe LLP. His strategic approach to financial management has consistently led to increased employee engagement, improved operations, and sustainable firm growth. Most recently, Morvay led his own consulting company, specializing in executive sponsorship, organizational change management, and enterprise-wide project planning for professional services firms.
Putnam joins UB Greensfelder with 25 years of experience in human resources operations and leadership across various industries. Before joining the firm, she served as CHRO of Hoffmann Brothers, where she spearheaded the transformation of the company’s talent strategy and workforce development during a period of rapid growth. Throughout her career, Putnam has been recognized for aligning talent and culture with strategic business priorities to elevate team performance and accelerate growth.
“We are thrilled to gain the caliber of talent that Kelley and Jacob bring to the firm,” said UB Greensfelder’s Co-Managing Partner, Scott P. Kadish. “Their demonstrated leadership will be beneficial as we enter our second year post-merger.”
In February, UB Greensfelder celebrated the one-year anniversary of the 2024 combination, which united two growth-focused firms into an Am Law 200-sized legal powerhouse. The combined firm now offers an expanded platform of service offerings and geographic synergies throughout the Midwest and in top-tier business centers, such as Chicago, St. Louis, Cleveland, and New York.
“We continue to be energized by the opportunities that have come from our recent merger, particularly from a recruitment standpoint in attracting solid professionals with successful track records in their fields,” said UB Greensfelder’s Co-Managing Partner, Kevin T. McLaughlin. “This underscores the depth of what UB Greensfelder now offers our people and our clients.”
