Portrait of Patricia A. Shlonsky

UB Greensfelder LLP (UBG) is pleased to announce that Patricia A. Shlonsky, partner-in-charge of the firm’s Cleveland office, has been inducted into the Case Western Reserve University School of Law Society of Benchers Class of 2026. The Society of Benchers, the law school's Hall of Fame, recognizes distinguished alumni, faculty, and members of the legal community who have demonstrated extraordinary achievement and dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession. Established in 1962, the Society inducts new members annually through a peer-selection process.

As partner-in-charge of UBG’s Cleveland office, Shlonsky leads strategic development, client service, and operational initiatives. Her 30-year practice focuses on advising employers and plan sponsors on employee benefits, executive compensation, ERISA litigation, and HIPAA privacy matters.

"I am deeply honored to be inducted into the Society of Benchers," Shlonsky said. "Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work alongside exceptional colleagues, clients, and community leaders whose support and partnership have made this recognition possible. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the legal profession and the communities we serve."

Shlonsky is recognized nationally for her work in employee benefits law, including a Band 1 ranking in Chambers USA for Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation in Ohio. She is a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel.

Beyond her legal practice, Shlonsky is a dedicated community leader. She serves as president of the Board of Trustees of the Cuyahoga County Public Library, secretary of the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio, a board member of Bellefaire JCB, a trustee of United for Libraries, and a member of the Retirement Fund Committee of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. Her contributions have been recognized with the Ohio State Bar Foundation's Ramey Award for Distinguished Community Service in 2025, ORT America's Jurisprudence Award in 2023, and the Ohio State Bar Association's Nettie Cronise Lutes Award in 2022.

The Society of Benchers Class of 2026 includes 11 inductees, including alumni, one faculty inductee, and one public inductee, selected for their outstanding professional accomplishments and service to the legal profession and their communities. Shlonsky was inducted during a ceremony held Sept. 19 at Case Western Reserve University's Tinkham Veale Center. To see the full list, click here.
