Ulmer Partner Robin M. Wilson Appointed to Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Board of Directors

March 22, 2021 – Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to share that Partner Robin M. Wilson has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA), a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to serving the needs of legal professionals in Greater Cleveland.
Wilson will serve a three-year term on the Board of the CMBA beginning on July 1, 2021. The CMBA Nominating Committee considered a variety of factors in selecting Wilson and five other directors including but not limited to their history of service and commitment to the CMBA, diversity of experience, practice areas and settings, and leadership engagement both within the CMBA and in the broader Cleveland community.
“The individuals recommended for appointment have all achieved professional excellence, and offer the Board diversity of experience, thought and practice, as well as a passion for leading our Bar,” said Joseph N. Gross, President of the CMBA.
Wilson is a commercial litigator and trial attorney with more than 20 years of experience in private and public sector litigation and mediation. She is also an experienced appellate practitioner and serves on the panel of business mediators for the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. Over the course of her career, she has represented a variety of developers, banks, individuals, partnerships, and corporations in complex commercial, employment, trusts and estates, and real estate litigation, including lender liability defense, commercial foreclosures, and commercial lease disputes.
Active in the legal community, Wilson serves as Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Cleveland-Marshall Law Alumni Association, which supports and promotes the alumni, students, faculty, and staff of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University. She is also a Fellow of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation and serves as a volunteer attorney for The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. Respected for her skill, Wilson has been named to the Ohio Super Lawyers list and to The Best Lawyers in America© for Real Estate and Commercial Litigation, among other honors.
The CMBA operates as a center for legal professionalism in the region, promoting the highest ethical and professional standards. The CMBA strives to be an indispensable resource for its nearly 5,000 members and the go-to organization on issues of law and justice in Northeast Ohio.
