Rising Stars

Kara E.F. Cenar, Co-Chair of UB Greensfelder’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, also earned special inclusion on Illinois Super Lawyers’ “Top 50 Women – Illinois” list, which is part of Super Lawyers’ “Top Lists,” recognizing attorneys who received the highest scores during the publication’s rigorous review process and who have forged excellent reputations in the state as a whole and their respective metropolitan areas.

Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented, multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.

Each year, no more than 5% of lawyers in the state are selected to receive the Super Lawyers honor, and no more than 2.5% are selected to receive the Rising Stars honor. Candidates are eligible for the Rising Stars honor if they are 40 years old or younger, or have been in practice for 10 years or less.

“We applaud each of these attorneys for their contributions to their practice, our clients, and the firm,” said Kevin McLaughlin, Co-Managing Partner. “We witness their excellence on a regular basis, and we are pleased they have been selected to receive this distinctive honor.”
