Sean J. McDowell

Sean counsels clients on comprehensive estate planning, trust and estate administration, and business succession planning. His estate planning practice includes the preparation of revocable and irrevocable trusts, supplemental needs trusts, and related ancillary documents. Additionally, Sean has experience in a wide range of corporate matters, including business formation, corporate governance, compliance, and transactional matters.

Before joining UB Greensfelder, Sean practiced with a law firm in southeast Missouri, where he led the firm’s business practice. As a senior associate, he advised clients on a variety of estate planning, and corporate matters.  

While attending the Southern Illinois University School of Law, Sean served as a teaching assistant for Legal Writing and Advanced Appellate Advocacy. He was also active in Moot Court, was inducted into the Order of Barristers, and served as president of the Federalist Society. Sean earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University.

Sean enjoys playing golf, attending sporting events, and spending time with his wife and their cat, Millie.
