UB Greensfelder LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Paul F. Woody has been reappointed as Vice Chair of the St. Charles Convention & Sports Facilities Authority Board of Directors. As a commissioner since 2015, Woody previously served as Vice Chair in 2023 and most recently served as Secretary-Treasurer.

Woody is an experienced business attorney who represents growing businesses, and specializes in franchise law. He works with franchisors in a variety of industries to help ensure their compliance with federal and state laws and proactively avoid disputes. Woody is well-versed in all aspects of the franchisor-franchisee relationship and the agreements that govern those relationships. He is a Certified Franchise Executive and an adjunct professor at Saint Louis University School of Law, where he teaches franchise law.

The St. Charles County Convention & Sports Facilities Authority has existed by virtue of Missouri State statutes since 1992. It administers a tax on sleeping rooms within the county and uses the collected funds to further the Authority’s mission to promote convention, visitor, and sports facilities in St. Charles County, Missouri.

Currently, the St. Charles County Convention & Sports Facilities Authority is exploring public and private partnerships to develop and operate a 73-acre, indoor/outdoor state-of-the-art youth sports complex designed to host basketball, volleyball, baseball, and softball tournaments involving teams from around the Midwest.
