Nate advises private, public, and non-profit employers on employee benefits and executive compensation matters. His practice includes counseling employers on retirement plans, executive compensation, and health and welfare plans. He assists with ERISA and Internal Revenue Code compliance, designs plan documents, drafts summary plan descriptions, and advises on incentive and deferred compensation arrangements.
Before joining UBG, Nate practiced at a midsize law firm in Michigan, where he was an associate in the firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation group.
Prior to law school, Nate worked at a global financial advisory firm, providing forensic accounting and litigation support services. This analytical foundation enhances his understanding of the financial and operational aspects of benefits planning and compliance.
