April 25, 2025 – Susan Meyer, a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, has received the Corporate Woman of Achievement Award from the Chicago Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO Chicago).

The Corporate Women of Achievement Award is presented to a woman who has “overcome obstacles to climb to extraordinary heights in her company while bringing other women along with her” and “accomplished extraordinary deeds in her company while paving the way for other women to follow.”

“We are delighted that Susan was recognized with this award,” said Kara E.F. Cenar, Co-Group Leader of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. “We have long known Susan as an exemplary leader and mentor within the firm and in the legal community, and it is exciting to see her recognized for these achievements in the business community as well.”

In addition to helping national and international businesses launch and grow through business-driven intellectual property legal solutions, Meyer is Norway’s Honorary Consul for Illinois and Wisconsin. In this role, she assists with consular affairs and helps to facilitate the development of business, cultural, and educational relations between Norway and the U.S. Additionally, with a particular emphasis on the contributions of women, Meyer has received numerous honors and awards for her legal work and is active in various professional and legal organizations.

Meyer is an advocate of women supporting other women in business and considers the value of this advocacy to be “incalculable.” She added, “I have the privilege of working with incredibly talented women who show up and are excited about opportunities and genuinely enjoy working together. Business thrives in this positive ecosystem. Women in business supporting each other – it makes us all successful.”

Meyer received NAWBO Chicago’s Corporate Women of Achievement Award during Women Mean Business®: NAWBO Chicago's Regional Entrepreneurial Conference & 41st Annual Fundraiser on April 25th.
