Vivian F. Washington

Vivian brings a thoughtful and client-focused approach to her practice in employment and labor law matters. She joined the firm after serving as a summer associate in 2023 and 2024, where she supported attorneys on a range of litigation and advisory matters.

During law school, Vivian gained hands-on experience as a Rule 13 certified student attorney, successfully representing clients in preliminary hearings and order of protection cases, and preparing guardianship petitions and legal motions involving domestic violence and child welfare. She also completed an internship in the Ameren Corporation in-house legal department, conducting legal research, analyzing agreements, and supporting case strategy.

Vivian earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2025, where she was vice president and executive chair of the Black Law Students Association and pioneered the inaugural Black Women in Law Brunch, now a signature annual event. She also served as a judge on the Upper Division Honor Council; a teaching assistant for Legal Analysis, Research and Communications; and a student ambassador for the law school. Additionally, Vivian was selected to serve as a pupil in the Theodore McMillian American Inn of Court.

Vivian holds a B.A. in sociology with a minor in criminal and juvenile justice from the University of Missouri–Columbia. She is passionate about community advocacy and has volunteered extensively with organizations supporting underserved families and youth.
