James Thomeczek

Jake has extensive experience defending clients in a wide range of litigation matters. His tenure with the County Counselor’s Offices in both St. Charles County and St. Louis County has provided him with a strong foundation in municipal law and civil litigation. Jake draws on this experience to effectively navigate complex legal issues and deliver strategic, results-oriented representation for his clients.

With a continued focus on public service, Jake volunteers his time to numerous organizations that support the community and its citizens. He is a member of the City of Rock Hill Community Development Commission; The BackStoppers, Inc., which aids families of first responders injured or lost in the line of duty; and the St. Patrick Center Young Professionals Board, a team of emerging leaders dedicated to combating homelessness. Additionally, he has served as an alumni advisor to the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, demonstrating his commitment to mentorship and leadership.

Jake is also an active member of his local bar associations, including the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the St. Charles County Bar Association, and the St. Louis County Bar Association as well as the Missouri Municipal Attorneys Association.

During his time at Saint Louis University School of Law, Jake distinguished himself as a Dean’s Scholar and earned the Academic Excellence Award for achieving the highest grade in his Constitutional Law II course. He was also actively engaged in the law school community, serving as a Student Bar Association class representative. 

Outside of work, Jake enjoys trying new restaurants, watching documentaries, and spending time with his wife.
