Involvement

At UB Greensfelder, we work hard to transform our firm and community through voluntary inclusion educational programs and initiatives. Here are a few of the ways we are making our communities better places through our inclusion and advancement efforts:

Parents in Practice

Parents in Practice is an innovative initiative launched to promote our commitment to attorney development, growth, and work-life balance. We value and maintain an environment where attorneys know that they can thrive in both their professional and personal lives. Parents in Practice strives to ensure that every attorney has the resources and support network to reach their full potential.

Hamilton County Pay Equity Commitment

In spring 2023, UB Greensfelder Co-Managing Partner Scott P. Kadish and Yvette R. Simpson attended the Hamilton County Pay Equity Commitment event, sponsored by the Hamilton County Commission on Women and Girls and the Women's Fund of Greater Cincinnati. During the event, Scott signed a pledge on behalf of UB Greensfelder to set an example in pay equity in Hamilton County. The Hamilton County Pay Equity Commitment is a voluntary, employer-led initiative to help close the gender wage gap in Hamilton County, Ohio.

Sponsorships & Charitable Organizations

UB Greensfelder sponsors a variety of nonprofit organizations that are owned and operated by, or serve the communities of, minority, LGBTQ+, women, or other underserved populations. A few examples include Canine Companions, which assists people living with disabilities; the Human Right’s Campaign, which envisions a world where every member of the LGBTQ+ family has the freedom to live their truth without fear, and with equality under the law; and the Women’s Fund of Central Ohio’s Keyholder event, which promotes gender equity.

Educational Programs

The firm plans and executes a number of educational events for firm employees and our clients. A few examples include a recent program focused on the history of Antisemitism in America and how to combat it, a Women’s History Month panel that brought new female attorneys together with seasoned veterans to gain insights and perspective on the challenges of succeeding in the workplace as a woman, and a session focused on the value of systemic practices in the workplace and their impact on resolving equity issues.
