Emmanuel I. Sanders

Emmanuel is a partner in the firm’s Product Liability Practice Group. He represents manufacturers, suppliers, and other corporate defendants in high-stakes product liability, pharmaceutical, medical device, and mass tort litigation across federal and state courts nationwide. His product liability experience includes defense of claims involving a wide range of medical devices and pharmaceutical products, including arthroscopy pumps, cervical spine implants, surgical instruments, and various pharmaceuticals. Emmanuel also counsels insurers in complex coverage disputes, including high-exposure matters involving mass tort, environmental and toxic tort, abuse, and stop-loss claims. His practice spans multidistrict litigation, coordinated and consolidated proceedings, putative class actions, and individual product liability suits. Emmanuel counsels clients through all phases of complex litigation, from early case assessment and pleadings through discovery, depositions, expert preparation, and trial. He works closely with scientific and technical experts to develop litigation strategies in cases involving complex medical, pharmaceutical, and engineering issues. He is known for distilling complex legal and factual issues into precise, persuasive arguments that advance client objectives.
