Lacy’s background includes a broad range of practice areas, which she credits for her creative approach to solving her clients’ problems. Before joining UB Greensfelder, Lacy handled product liability and toxic tort cases with an Illinois law firm. Prior to that, she spent years representing plaintiffs in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. This working knowledge of the “other side” allows her to anticipate her opponents’ strategies. She has experience in government as well, having served as a Missouri Assistant Attorney General, which included work as a special prosecutor. During law school, Lacy interned for both the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office and the Missouri State Public Defender system. She spent three months living and working in Durban, South Africa, through Washington University Law School’s well-respected legal aid program. Her education prior to law school focused on the sciences, particularly human biology. This background makes Lacy particularly strong in healthcare and medical defense cases.
Outside of work, Lacy volunteers her time in a way that reflects her commitment to strengthening the St. Louis region. She is a mediator with Community Mediation Services of St. Louis. In that role, she has mediated and moderated high-profile matters such as Ferguson's police-community dialogues. She works with a number of groups that are dedicated to the revitalization of our North City neighborhoods. She is a committee member of the Rock Hill Parks and Recreation.
