UB Greensfelder LLP (UBG) is pleased to announce that Associate Marleni J. Chavana has been selected to participate in the 2025 Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA)/Vision in Action (VIA) Latina Leadership Academy, a distinguished professional development program presented by the HNBA’s Latina Commission.

Chavana was among a select group of 25 Latina attorneys nationwide who were chosen to participate in the Academy’s in-person program, held September 3 during the 2025 HNBA/VIA Annual Convention in Washington, D.C. The leadership program featured interactive presentations and workshops designed to foster authentic leadership and support career growth.

The HNBA/VIA Latina Leadership Academy is designed for attorneys with 10 years or less of practice and offers intensive training focused on executive presence, leadership cultivation, and navigating professional environments where Latinas remain underrepresented. The curriculum empowers participants to elevate their careers and break down barriers to advancement.

In her legal practice at UBG, Chavana represents clients in resolving complex business disputes and assists with all aspects of the litigation process. She is an active member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, as well as the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and Dominican Bar Association. Chavana earned her B.A. from Smith College and her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
